Per regional-DSO supply area and direction: the network's existing transport capacity, the transport capacity existing contracts need at peak, and the queue (MW and number of requests), as the six Dutch DSOs publish them on the national capacity map.

What is withheld, and why

Nothing is withheld. Values are served with the attribution the licence asks for: gezamenlijke netbeheerders 2026 — de gezamenlijke regionale netbeheerders behouden hun intellectuele eigendomsrechten (zoals het databankenrecht). Keep it with any figure you show.

Open-environment data products may be copied, distributed, passed on or reused on condition of the fixed attribution formula; the terms (last changed 17 April 2025, re-read live 2026-09-25) neither mention nor exclude commercial use, and commercial_use = yes rests on that unrestricted reuse clause. The formula's year is the year of publication and must follow the data (2026 today). Open with the operator in writing: whether a paid API is covered, and the clause forbidding links to the portal or the DSOs' sites without prior written permission (no deep links are stored; landing_url is the one link the API shows). 'Verder kunnen nadere voorwaarden van toepassing zijn': the catalogue record's licence fields are empty today.

Capaciteitskaart: DSO transport capacity, contracted peak need and queue per supply area

Each regional DSO states, per supply area on its MV level, the maximum transport capacity the network can carry under its design criteria and operational limits (total), the transport capacity needed at peak to serve all existing transport agreements without imposed restrictions (contracted; includes current customers, room kept for small consumers and grid developments, excludes the queue), and the queue of requested transport not yet granted without restrictions (waitlisted, MW and number of unique requests). The DSOs set the areas at their best estimate; figures refer to this grid level only.

The operator’s own caveats

  • The map is a snapshot and indicative; no rights can be derived from it. Contact the grid operator before any concrete plan.
  • Existing and required capacity refer to one grid level only and say nothing about the levels above or below; a congested area can be caused by another level.
  • Queue MW is withheld when three or fewer parties are waiting (the CSV does not apply this consistently); totals below 0.5 MW are shown as 0; a queue of 0 can also mean incomplete data.
  • The expected year congestion is solved (jaartal_opgelost, in details) is an estimate, not a guarantee.
  • Intended for connections larger than 3x80 A.
